Endless Sea Coffee Roasting
This past month, we’ve tried some new roasts (yum!) and Jess has been making plans for integrating a team of 4 high schoolers into the coffee training this summer.

Cultivate Training Garden
We’ve been busy preparing for our first CSA distribution. The gardens are growing – and so are the weeds! The kids have been helping transplant and weed, and we’ve continued the weekly Garden Training Classes each Wednesday.

Neighborhood Centers
May is always our month to prep for summer. At Seneca, the Dahlhausers have been painting, power-washing the porch and its furniture, fixing the fence, getting bikes ready, and lots of other little things that can’t be done after the Summer Team starts. The kids are making great use of the basketball hoop, and we’re hoping the porch swing makes it just one more season!

Weekly Bible studies have finished up, so youth have continued meeting on Wednesday evenings for the Garden Training class at the Seneca Garden. Jess, Khorina, and the Dahlhausers have been hanging out and interacting with kids at Seneca daily and in the trailer park each week. We’ve also been working on plans for summer camps for youth – the boy’s camping trip on June 16-18 and the girls’ camping trip on June 23-25.

Run for Our Future
We had an awesome annual race on May 27! THANK YOU all for participating and making it a wonderful morning. We are especially grateful for the Corporate Sponsors (totaling $6,000 – with BVRMC as our Silver Sponsor of $1,000). Also, Team Bridge was a group of individuals who each raised funds to benefit The Bridge; they raised over $11,000! This team included: Ryan Berg, Gedeon Boato, Ryan Brandenberger, Anne Dahlhauser and kids, Zach and Abbey Green, Jay Dahlhauser, Phillip Jensen, Ron and Deb Netten, Bob and Natalie Schaller, Jessica Skelton, Angie Snyder, and Tou Xiong. Thank you all for joining together, running, and raising funds that will make our Summer Youth Program possible.

Job Opening

We are looking for an individual to serve as an administrative assistant in the office. If you are interested, fill out the application, and submit to The Bridge via email ( or through the mail (P.O. Box 181).
