The Bridge of Storm Lake will host the Empowered to Connect simulcast on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8 from 9AM to 5PM each day.
Come experience practical teaching in a safe and supportive community as we work to equip families, churches, and professionals to better serve children.
Empowered To Connect, together with Show Hope and The Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, hosts the Empowered To Connect Conference — a two-day conference designed to help adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders, and professionals better understand how to connect with “children from hard places” in order to help them heal and become all that God desires for them to be.
Featuring Trust-Based Relational Intervention® methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, this conference teaches how to promote connection in ways that heal and nurture young people.
There is no charge to attend this simulcast at The Bridge. A suggested donation of $20/person may be given at the event. There will be breaks with snacks and refreshments throughout the days. Lunches will not be provided.
