Cultivate Training Garden

The Cultivate Training Garden Enterprise trains Storm Lake youth alongside mentors to grow and sell produce in order to build work ethic, learn about agriculture, and develop competency for future job opportunities.

In the Garden

The Cultivate Garden Training Enterprise (began in 2015) takes place on a 5-acre plot of land called Elliot's Eden, located north off Expansion Blvd.

Garden Training

Through Cultivate, youth are engaged in planting seeds, raising seedlings, planting, weeding, maintaining, watering, harvesting, helping with CSA, and learning to make healthy meals from the veggies.  The youth work alongside Bridge mentors, tracking their hours in order to earn points toward trips and rewards.
